Danielle Collins is currently playing her last Miami Open, and she is waiting for her match against Sorana Cirstea to continue her stint in the tournament. Collins is known as the queen of ‘Come On’ as she screams it quite often after winning a point. When she goes, someone else will need to take up the mantle. Collins shared the name herself after her match against Elina Avanesyan ended 6-1, 6-2.

For Collins, “I feel like Peyton Stearns. You know, Peyton Stearns is my little buddy and watching her compete and come out there ’cause she played for Texas, is like, so much fun watching her. So, she’ll carry the torch.” Stearns is an upcoming American star who is making a name for herself after showing fantastic tennis to its fans.

While the 22-year-old American star has been struggling this year, she has shown some great performances. After winning her points, she loves to scream ‘Come on’ as well. Therefore, picking her as the one to carry the torch was a no-brainer for the 31-year-old player. As Stearns saw Collins’ response, she wrote, “Hook ’em baby!!” on her social media page.

Both players have also shown a similar fire every time they step on the tennis court. Collins will bid adieu to tennis with a grand slam final as her best result. It means that Stearns has a lot more to live up to, aside from making sure her ‘Come on’ chants are louder than Collins’. Will she be able to live up to the legacy of her senior player?
