John McEnroe highlights Serena Williams’ greatness

Before resuming his role as a commentator during the US Open, the 63-year-old talked about Serena. He elaborated on the greatness of Serena while comparing her to other legends in the sporting world. He said, “All you need to say about Serena is that she’s put herself in that pantheon of GOATs – Billie Jean King, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady. That’s where Serena is.”

Comparing her to the likes of Stephen Curry, McEnroe said, “Serena took it to that next level because she had the greatest serve ever, better than a lot of guys. I would compare her in a way, the way she changed it, to Steph Curry. Everyone is shooting 3-pointers, but no one does it as well as him.”

Recently, the draw for the last Grand Slam tournament of the season was released. The former World Number 1 has received a tough draw at the tournament. Serena will take on Danka Kovinic in the opening round of the tournament.
