Tom Brady shocked the sports fraternity when he hung up his boots last month. The legendary quarterback called time on an illustrious career that saw him win seven Super Bowl titles, along with other honors. He had cited that he wanted to spend more time with his family along with concentrating on his other business ventures. However, in a sensational turn of events, Brady announced a U-turn on his retirement plans earlier this month.

Fans across the globe rejoiced as Brady decided to return to the NFL. The American legend will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 season. It will be his 23rd season in the NFL. Recently, another American icon, Serena Williams, opened up on Tom Brady coming back to the sport.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion was in a conversation with Bloomberg Technology’s Emily Chang where they talked about Serena’s winning strategy, her next big thing, etc.

Further, revealing her views on Tom Brady making a comeback, Serena said, “I think everyone is happy about it or most people were. It was definitely mixed feelings about him retiring and then kind of felt pretty good about the unretiring. That’s exciting.”

Earlier, Brady took to Instagram to announce the news of his return. He said, “These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.”

Further, it will come as a huge boost for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who fell short last season. They lost to the eventual Super Bowl champions, Los Angeles Rams 30-27 in the divisional round. However, their star player, Tom Brady, was at the top of his game last season, completing 67.5% of his passes for 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions.
