Monica Seles Says it’s “Unreal” How Serena Williams Manages Being a Mother, Tennis Player and Businesswoman

40-year-old Serena Williams is not just one of the greatest athletes of all time. Apart from being a phenomenal tennis player, she is a wife, a mother, and a successful entrepreneur who manages most of these things on her own.
Serena has been playing professional tennis for about 24 years now. However, since her famous win at the US Open 1998, her gameplay has not dropped even a little bit.

Monica Seles hails Serena Williams for her managing skills
In a recent podcast, 9-time Grand Slam champion Monica Seles talked about the great qualities of Serena. She highlighted how the American fulfils all her responsibilities as a wife and a mother and even then, manages to outshine her opponents on the court.
“I don’t think we even talk about that how much that it does to your body and really the injuries to come back from them and to still be hungry after just doing rehab month, month after month, and then suddenly get re-injured… And I think for her to keep that all in balance with being a mom, working and working around the world. It’s not like you know, so just so many unknown components on unknown surfaces you’re playing time zones.

“I truly don’t even know how she’s able to manage all that with Olympia. I mean just putting, when you know a little one to sleep with the different times,” said Seles in the podcast. “It’s you know, and then having to know hey I got a week play at a top level next day somebody that you know, it was actually going to bring their A game because anybody to this day, that play Serena knows they got to bring their A game,” added the former World No.1 player.
Seles is certainly in awe of Serena. She even stated that her counterparts are well aware that in order to give themselves any chance against the 23-time Grand Slam champion, they have to be on their toes and play their best tennis.

Seles believes Serena is the greatest tennis player all along with Margaret Court, Billie Jean King, and others

In the same podcast, Seles called Serena one of the unreal superstars. She even compared her to Margaret Court and other tennis legends and lauded her as the greatest player of all time.
“I mean, she is I mean when you think about it, unreal. What she has done and is the greatest of all with Margaret Court or Billie Jean King. All this, Martina Navratilova, Chrissie Evert, Stephanie Graff, I mean, what all these ladies have done, is surely unbelievable,” concluded the 47-year-old.
