American athlete, Tori Bowie‘s death due to pregnancy complications shook the entire world. More and more women opened up about their troubles during such a phase, due to which the awareness spread. Bowie was eight months pregnant and her shocking death was a dark day in the history of the sporting world. Recently, Naomi Osaka also made a huge revelation about her pregnancy.

Osaka went into labor two months after Bowie’s death and had been thinking about her all the time. Osaka also suffered from pregnancy complications which she opened up about a few hours back.

Recently, the Japanese tennis star was involved in an interview with ‘Instyle’. During the interview, she brought up the topic of Bowie’s death and how it affected her. As stress affected Osaka during pregnancy, the thought of Bowie’s death and the health of her unborn child constantly hit her mind.

Talking about this, Osaka said, “I don’t think people know how hard pregnancy is; no one really talks about it as much. Going into it, you kind of think: Oh, it’s this beautiful journey.”

The American legend’s worst fears came true as she suffered complications before giving birth to Olympia. She once revealed the painful story of her near-death experience.

Serena revealed, “I can’t believe how much went wrong on the way to meeting her. I almost died.” The American legend’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, was by her side during the tough time. He said, “We’re also obviously taking every precaution and doing everything we can to make sure everything goes smoothly for Serena.”
