In the world of professional tennis, where every move is watched closely, it’s easy to forget that the players we admire have interests outside the game. Linda Fruhvirtova, an 18-year-old tennis sensation from the Czech Republic, is not just an athlete but also a young person with her own tastes and trends. While she’s had her fair share of ups and downs on the tennis court in 2023, she’s also eager to share what she enjoys watching on TV and listening to in her free time.

The 18-year-old Czech tennis sensation made a big splash earlier in the year by reaching the second week of the Australian Open. However, she failed to deliver on the early promise and faced a tough period subsequently with a string of 10 losses during the summer.

In a candid interview with Tennis Channel International, Fruhvirtova revealed that she had quite the bops in her rotation. When it comes to music, Fruhvirtova has a diverse taste. She said, “I listen to everything. It depends on my mood. The playlist changes throughout the year, but I really like to listen to a mix of everything: old hits from the 80s, 90s, a little bit of hip-hop, some pop. It’s really everything. Flowers by Miley Cyrus is playing everywhere, so I definitely know that one. I love Taylor Swift.” But music was only one topic of discussion.

She shared her binge-watching preferences, reflecting the entertainment choices of her generation. When asked about her favorite TV show, she shared, “I loved watching Suits. I watched that last year from start to finish. On TikTok, I’m seeing a lot of clips from How I Met Your Mother, Friends. These two are popping up for me a lot right now, so I’m watching them a few seconds at a time!”

Well, turns out the charm of Meghan Markle captivates people far and wide! But beyond her entertainment choices resonating with people, the community, just a few months ago, also compared Fruhvirtova and her sister to another legendary pair in tennis – the Williams sisters.

Brenda and Linda Fruhvirtova set the record straight

In an interview, Linda Fruhvirtova’s younger sister, Brenda, addressed the long-standing comparisons between them and the Williams sisters. Brenda, who had then just won her ninth championship, said, “Of course, the Williams sisters are probably the greatest of all time but we never tried to like, copy anyone. And yeah, we just kind of want to go, like our own way.” The Fruhvirtova sisters have immense respect for the Williams sisters but are determined to make their mark in tennis on their own terms.
