‘More Important Than Me’- Eugenie Bouchard Gets Ditched by Interviewer as Reporter Pays More Attention to Nicholas Latifi at Canadian Grand Prix

Eugenie Bouchard has been the torchbearer of tennis in Canada. She has earned a name for herself by being one of the best tennis players in Canada. Recently, she was present at the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit for the 2022 F1 Canadian Grand Prix. Here, she was giving an interview with a reporter.

At that moment, Canadian F1 driver Nicholas Latifi arrived, and they left the interview with Bouchard in between to seek an interview with him.

Latifi over Bouchard?

Eugenie Bouchard had been present at the event which finally returned to Montreal after a leap of three years. She was giving an interview when the Canadian F1 driver, Nicholas Latifi, arrived. The reporters left her in the middle of the interview to take an interview with the F1 driver. She shared that video on her Instagram story too where she stated, “he’s more important than me” with two laughing emojis.

Latifi might be more important in an event designated for him. But Bouchard has carried the flag of Canada into one of the most prestigious grand slam tours.

Eugenie Bouchard has dropped out from this years Wimbledon which has come as a shock to her fans.

Her fans were eagerly waiting for her comeback. The player clarified it was because of Wimbledon getting stripped off of its ranking points.

Currently, the Canadian player is recovering from her last year’s shoulder injury. She wants to use her protected ranking entries for a tour that would allow her to better her ranking as well. She has also revealed that she would be using these entries at this year’s US open and next year’s Australian Open.

The player has expressed her regret over not being a part of favorite grand slam at Wimbledon. It was only at Wimbledon where she had reached the finals in2014.
