Working in a field one is passionate about is considered a blessing by many. But coming back home at the end of a long day to relax and spend time with family is equally rewarding. Caroline Wozniacki certainly thinks so, who became a mother of two during her retirement. Although she eventually came back to tennis, little Olivia and James still account for some of the best moments of her life!

Wozniacki eased past France’s Clara Burel in her opening-round match at the 2024 Miami Open on Tuesday. She came back to action last summer after her three-year-long absence from competitive tennis, during which she also welcomed her children Olivia(2) and James(1). Here’s what she said about her day with them.

Wozniacki recently posted a picture of her along with her two kids sitting on her lap. The kids were seen to be reading a “Baby, See The Colors!” book along with their mom. Caroline Wozniacki wrote, “Best part of my day was getting home for story time/bedtime” and attached a “heart” emoji beside it in the caption.

Currently, Olivia and James are traveling with her on the WTA tour and Wozniacki couldn’t be happier about this amazing experience. “For [my children] to be able to see me put the work in, it’s a great way also for them to learn, for them to travel with me and my family, it’s great. I think we’re getting closer even in a different way. They have to adapt, but I think it’s fun for them.

She further went on to add how Olivia gets excited about getting on a plane and meeting new places. But what is Olivia’s favorite destination? “She still talks about Paris. I don’t know why Paris. I mean, I guess a lot of people love Paris. But that’s one that kind of sticks out to her,” Wozniacki said.

Caroline Wozniacki stated becoming a mother changed how she viewed her schedule. She jokingly admitted that she used to think that she was busy before having kids, only to be proven wrong later on.

But, yeah, they’re here. I like to train early, so when I have a practice day, I practice early, then I have the afternoon with them, which is great,” Caroline Wozniacki said. Once during a press conference, she said, “When I’m with the kids, I’m with the kids 100%. When I’m zoned in on the match, I’m there 100%.” Wozniacki is fully committed to whatever she does. No matter if it is on the court or off it. Wozniacki reached the finals in Miami 7 years ago. How far do you think can the super-mom go this time at the Miami Open?
