It’s time for the second round of the Mutua Madrid Open 2021 and there will be an exciting clash there. World No.9 Petra Kvitova will face the former World No.1 Angelique Kerber. The match will take place tomorrow and fans are quite excited about the battle.

Petra Kvitova got a walkover in her first match against Marie Bourzkova at the Mutua Madrid Open 2021. Even though she comfortably won the first set, the match couldn’t continue as Bourzkova suffered an injury.

On the other hand, Angelique Kerber enjoyed an easy win over Marketa Vondrousova in the first round. She thrashed her opponent in straight sets with the final scoreline of 7-6, 6-1.

Both the players will look forward to carrying their momentum in the second round as well. It is Kvitova who has to find answers against Kerber’s lethal forehands. However, she too will try to amaze the German with her powerful and accurate serves.

World No.9 Kvitova and Kerber have met on 13 occasions before this encounter. Interestingly, it is Kvitova who leads the head-to-head battle 7-6 at the moment.

Even though Kerber is a strong fighter, it’ll be tough for her to fight against an in-form Kvitova. As a result, the Czech will surely be starting as the favorite before the match and can even crush Kvitova in straight sets.

Although the prediction favors Kvitova, the match against Kerber can prove to be challenging for her. Kerber knows how to perform under pressure and can stun the Czech player.
