Along with that, Boulter also reached the third round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in her career. Speaking about that, she said, “Honestly, it’s a dream come true for me. I’ve got hopefully many more matches to play. If I can have you guys behind me for those, hopefully I can go a long way. So thank you so much.”

During this tie-break, the crowd’s support helped her a lot, which continued in the third set. In the end, the British player won the third set 6-4 to eliminate last year’s finalist Pliskova. The match lasted almost two hours and the final score was, 3-6, 7-6(4), 6-4 in favor of the Brit.
