The celebrity world came together to pay respects to the departing soul of Treat Williams yesterday. The 71-year-old actor was involved in a motorbike crash at around 5 pm on Monday. Later in the evening, his agent confirmed his death and the entire Hollywood fraternity came mourning as it lost one of its brightest stars.

Treat Williams’ death did not just affect Hollywood. The actor had good connections with celebrities outside the entertainment industry and they did not fail to pay tributes to him. Among all the tributes from celebrities across the globe, there was a special message from the American tennis legend, Chris Evert.

The 18-time major champion, Chris Evert, used her platform to express her condolences following Treat Williams’ death. She did not know him personally, but her heart felt heavy at the news. Evert further explained how she had enjoyed his social media.

She tweeted, “I just read where Treat Williams died today in a motorcycle accident. I didn’t know him personally, but my heart feels very heavy. I’ve enjoyed reading his social media and he seemed to be a very happy, grateful, humble man. It’s a sad day, RIP Treat…

Treat Williams, famously known for his roles in Everwood and Hair, was one of the most underrated actors. Despite not having a superstar persona, he was many people’s favorite in the industry. Evert’s words on Treat Williams show how much of an impact he had on people.

Chris Evert has always been vocal on Twitter

Evert is one of the few tennis legends who has used her platform to express her opinions. She is also one of the first people in the tennis fraternity to acknowledge the happening of a monumental event.
