Serena Williams has shown a different side of herself since becoming a mother. Since welcoming her first child, Olympia, in 2017, the tennis legend has embraced the challenges of motherhood with both joy and vulnerability. In 2022, she retired from professional tennis and welcomed her second daughter, Adira River Ohanian, a year later. Her social media is filled with delightful glimpses into her family life, showcasing her adventures as a mom.

In a recent interview with People Magazine on November 28th, Williams opened up about her daughters and the profound impact they have had on her life. She reflected on her initial fears of loving another child as much as Olympia, who is now six years old. “Olympia was a solo child,” she noted, expressing her deep affection for her eldest. She humorously recalled thinking, “How do I even love anyone as much as Olympia? It just doesn’t work.” Yet, she discovered that it was possible with the arrival of Adira in 2023.

“It’s so funny how, I don’t know, just your heart gets bigger. I was just like, my heart just got bigger.” She added. Adira, now 15 months old, is already in the spotlight alongside her sister. The infant even has her own Instagram profile managed by her parents. Although it currently features just one post, Serena often shares moments of Adira on her own account. Recently, she posted a cute video of Adira helping pick up tennis balls while Serena played. The caption read, “When’s too early? @adiraohanian.” Serena laughed about how Adira threw the ball toward the fence instead of to her.

On the other hand, Williams described their firstborn Olympia as “our star.” She admitted in the interview, “I am so obsessed with Olympia.”  And true to word, the seven-year-old has been the center of the Williams-Ohanian spotlight since she was born. From sports to crafts, little Olympia seems to be quite invested in everything so far. Even in the fictional universe of Star Wars, according to Ohanian, who shared a fun memory online with fans earlier this week.

Alexis gets excited as he takes Olympia to visit the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

On November 27th, Alexis Ohanian and his daughter Olympia embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. They shared their fun-filled day on social media, capturing moments of joy as they explored the vibrant world of Batuu. However, the outing took an exciting turn when they encountered the notorious First Order. Rather than showing fear, Olympia stood her ground, adopting a fighting stance that left her father in awe.“I was so proud of her for this reaction to being kidnapped by The First Order,” Ohanian posted on X, celebrating his daughter’s bravery in this thrilling moment.

This trip brought back memories for Serena Williams. She celebrated her 38th birthday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019 with Olympia. It was Olympia’s first visit to Disney World, a moment Serena had eagerly anticipated since her pregnancy. “The last time I came to Walt Disney World in Florida, I was actually pregnant with her,” Serena recalled in a video interview. “I’ve been waiting so long. I haven’t been able to come back, so this is like a dream come true.” This recent adventure not only highlighted their family bond but also showcased Alexis’s pride as a “girl dad.” Alongside Williams, they make parenting look effortless, even amidst challenges. Their family adventures continue to inspire fans and showcase the joys of parenthood. Would you agree?
