Eugenie Bouchard rose to fame by becoming the first Canadian player to reach the finals of Wimbledon in 2014. She became a beloved player of a non-tennis playing nation. However, last year we saw a halt in her career when she had a shoulder injury. She had to be on a year-long hiatus.
The Canadian player had torn her subscapularis during her match in Guadalajara. She conveyed the message to her fans that even though she had a long way to go about her rehabilitation, she would put her heart and soul to get back to the job she loves.

Comeback of Eugenie Bouchard
In a recent interview with Breakfast Television , Genie talked about her comeback after a year.
“It’s been long, but it went by so fast. Because I have done some off-court projects, did my tennis commentary.” She talked about how she loves the sport and was excited to come back. The Canadian player expressed her love for tennis, “It’s been busy, but my heart really lies in playing tennis, and since I’ve started hitting out on the court again, which has been since December.”

Genie made a comeback this year by playing at the SoCal Honda Dealers Helpful Cup in California. She expressed her joy by saying, “Last week, I felt so happy by the end of the day, my cheeks were hurting because I was smiling the entire time. I was playing in front of a small crowd.” Vibrantly, Genie regarded this as a small step towards her comeback.

Recovery of Eugenie Bouchard
The Canadian player talked about her injury as well and said it was painful. However, she got through it and was happy to be back where her heart always is, which is on a tennis court. Talking about her recovery, Bouchard mentioned, “It was so painful. I just like, feel the pain, looking at me, lying in that bed.”

Bouchard was invited to talk about the initiative by Rogers and Tennis Canada to establish indoor courts in the country and drive youth to take up the sport.

Even though Eugenie Bouchard has had a tough last few years on the WTA tour, she continues to be the role model of thousands in Canada. Moreover, now she has come back with the spirit to encourage people and has led by example that one should never give up on their dreams.
