After winning the Cincinnati Masters for the first time, the 19-year-old tennis prodigy answered off-court questions about her first musical experience.

Along with that, she described how her first performance of Les Miserables was one she will never forget—not for the event itself but for the remarks her mother gave her after the show. Let’s take a look at her incredible thrill, which she may never forget.

Coco Gauff recalled her first musical experience 

The world’s 6th-ranked tennis player is all over the tennis world with her amazing Western and Southern Open victory runs. Recently, in an interview with the WTA, the 19-year-old American tennis sensation was asked whether she had attended any musicals during her time in the US. Gauff in no time shared that she has attended Les Miserables once with her mother, and her experience over there was an unforgettable one.

She said, “I went to Les Miserables once, and I fell asleep on that one (laughs). My mom was so mad at me, and it wasn’t really because it was bad. I had never been to a musical. It was three hours three or longer. It wasn’t a good idea for me to go that day. So I will try to give it a go again because she really loved it.”
