Serena Williams is undoubtedly the ‘Queen of the Court’. The younger Williams sister has won a total of 98 WTA tournaments of the 127 she has competed in. This puts Williams’ win rate at a staggering 77%. However, amidst her intense tennis coaching and mindset, Williams did not forego her style. Serena Williams wants false nails

In an HBO docuseries, ‘Being Serena’, The 23-time Grand Slam champion rather hilariously, prioritized her nails during a practice session. The series covers the life of Williams after she had her daughter, Olympia Ohanian. The series also covers how she recovered and started playing again after a challenging childbirth.

One episode of the series covered practice sessions of Williams a week before the French Open. While on a break, Williams asked her then- coach Patrick Mouratoglou for a favor. “Patrick I need a favor.”

As Mouratoglou asked Williams what she needed, Williams had a rather amusing response. She asked Mouratoglou if he could find someone who could work on her nails, citing how bad they looked. “Do you think you can find someone to do my nails? They can come to the hotel. Look how bad they are.”

Her coach said that he would help her find someone and send them to her room. She then added that she needed false nails. “I think I need to do the false nails.”

Williams did not divert from her practice session

While one may think that Williams had diverted her mind from the training session and had her priorities mixed up. However, she is known as The Queen of the Court for a reason. Williams realized that it was time to get back on the court for hitting practice. “I shouldn’t be thinking about my nails right now.” She also spoke the mind of everyone present in that situation, “My priorities are messed up.”

Williams had unfortunately fallen in rankings quite a bit after she had Olympia. However, her achievements before that, especially winning the Australian Open while pregnant is undeniably amazing.
