Bianca Andreescu’s disappointing run

The former US Open winner came into this year’s tournament with high hopes. However, her hopes were vanquished in the second round. This was not her only defeat this season. She came into the year participating in the WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide, where she started strong after defeating the Spanish national Garbiñe Muguruza. However, Veronika Kudermetova knocked out Andreescu in the round of 16.

After her defeat, she went on her Instagram to discuss her loss against the Russian. She captioned the post, “Sometimes you just gotta laugh sh*t off and hope for better luck next time.” The 2019 US Open champion has fallen into a poor run of form at the very start of the season.
