Tennis icon Naomi Osaka often makes headlines with her collaborations outside of the sport. Notably, she made news with the release of her self-titled Netflix documentary and also recently appearing on LeBron James’ show ‘The Shop.’ However, the Japanese star has found another way to reach every American home as she made it to Sesame Street.
Sesame Street, the American educational television series for children, has been helping kids socially and academically grow since 1969. Forthwith, Osaka will be a part of its long-running history.

Naomi Osaka visits Sesame Street
After the US Open 2021 loss, Naomi Osaka hasn’t returned to the tennis court. However, she appeared at the Sesame street show, sharing pictures of the same on Instagram.
Interestingly, Osaka also got a selfie with Sesame Street’s fun-loving Elmo. Sharing it, she captioned the post, “Got Elmo out here taking selfie’s lol.”

Before this, Osaka also co-judged the Met Gala 2021 and wore a dress that paid tribute to her three ethnicities. Indeed, she has a more dynamic personality than anyone on the tennis tours.

Will Osaka play tennis in 2021?
Following her loss in New York, Osaka announced she would take an indefinite break from tennis. Consequently, she also pulled out from the upcoming WTA 1000 Indian Wells tournament.

However, the 23-year-old recently said she has got that itch to compete on the WTA Tour again but hasn’t confirmed where she would be playing next.
Naturally, fans will hope to see her in 2021 as many good tournaments are still on the calendar. Until then, the excitement is all about the Sesame Street episode.
