Naomi Osaka is one of the most skilled active players in the WTA circuit, but over the last few months, she has not been in the best of forms. In 2021, she played a limited schedule to focus on her mental health but now she seems to be back to her old self while enjoying her time on the court.
Her performance at the Miami Open was much improved than her previous few outings and she reached the finals defeating top players like Angelique Kerber, Danielle Collins, and Belinda Bencic on the way.

She won the Grand Slam ever since 2018, but could not keep her form up for the rest of the year. The Japanese star began her 2021 season seeded third, in the Australian Open, and won the Grand Slam. But the rest of the year was not up to her potential, and she could not defend the points she had gained in 2020. As a result, her rankings plummeted to No. 77, after the Australian Open 2022.
However, it seems like she is back, and with a bang. As she reached the finals at the Miami Open tournament. Due to which her rankings will improve, massively. As the rankings are refreshed, she will climb to the 35th position. And it looks like she’s ready to be the top player, that everyone knows her to be.
