Last season on the WTA tour, four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka struggled to keep her top form running post a sensational Australian Open victory. The clay-court season forced her to adjust her game and Osaka’s struggles became evident on the red turf. Despite the withdrawal in Paris and how the rest of the season unfolded for her, the Japanese star had a positive start to the 2022 WTA tour.

She managed to reach the semis of the WTA tournament in Melbourne ahead of the ‘happy slam’ and lost to Amanda Anisimova in the third-round of the Australian Open. Since the defeat, Osaka has been spending time off court by attending various events and also training at the same time.
