Other than tennis, Osaka is quite renowned for her shy and quiet nature. Many say that she hardly used to talk to anyone off-the-court and preferred to stay in isolation. However, in a recent interview, she revealed that it was only a tag, and she doesn’t believe herself to be shy.

“That shy label has stuck with me through the ups and downs of my career,” began Osaka.

Osaka clearly disagrees that she was shy and timid. She further said that the people who knew her would not say anything like that. According to her, she is the one who likes to navigate in different situations.

“But I think people who have watched me grow would say that I navigate situations better,” added the 23-year-old Japanese.
