NBA Great Chris Paul Left in Awe After Watching Venus and Serena Williams’ Father’s Biopic, ‘King Richards’

The biopic ‘King Richard’ of Venus and Serena Williams’ father, Richard Williams, is inarguably one of the most anticipated movies of 2021. Moreover, with Academy Award nominee Will Smith playing the father, the world cannot wait to see this inspiring real-life story on the big screen. Interestingly, that wait is already over for the NBA team Phoenix Suns. What’s more, Chris Paul and JaVale McGee have given their approval over this epic tennis tale.

Notably, the three-time NBA champion McGee arranged a private screening of ‘King Richard’ for the Phoenix Suns. Later on, Suns’ point guard Paul took to Twitter to share his review on this film.

Chris Paul and JaVale McGee praise Venus and Serena Williams’ father’s biopic, ‘King Richard’

Without any doubt, Venus and Serena Williams are two of the greatest tennis players of all time. However, it wouldn’t have been possible without the driving passion of their father, Richard Williams.

Indeed, this biopic aims at putting light on his contribution to his family and the sport of tennis. And according to NBA stars Chris Paul and JaVale McGee, the saga is well received.

Firstly, the two-time Olympic gold medallist expressed what the ‘King Richard’ movie meant for him. Paul tweeted, “As a big fan of Venus and Serena already, this film was amazing!!! [It] Made me appreciate my parents even more and shows the importance of hard work, humility, and FAMILY!!”

Furthermore, the center player for Phoenix Suns responded to Paul’s review. McGee said, “Amazing film.”

Naturally, the feedback from the NBA stars has boosted the excitement behind this film. In the United States, the biopic ‘King Richard’ will release on 19th November 2021.

Earlier, Venus and Serena with Will Smith launched the second trailer of the ‘King Richard’ movie. Most significantly, the trailer had Beyonce’s original song “Be Alive,” which brought instant goosebumps to tennis fans.
