In a recent episode of NBA on TNT’s post-game show, three-time NBA Champion Dwyane Wade first detailed his definition of a GOAT. He expressed, We’re having a conversation about greatness. You can close your eyes and pick one. So I love Tom Brady as a quarterback, but I can’t make the GOAT, someone who plays at one side of the ball, for me.”

Further, he emphasized why no one beats Serena Williams in this conversation. The 39-year-old added, “I’m going with Serena Williams. One, because she’s the woman in the room and everyone will have respect for her and make sure she sits at the front. But, let’s go down hers. 23 majors, 33 major finals, she’s ended the year #1, five years in a row.”

“She has 358 career wins (grand slam matches), Olympic Gold Medal, and here’s the biggest thing, can’t just know little bit about this… she won an Open while pregnant, no man can ever say they have done that.”

Exactly four years ago, Serena Williams won her 23rd Grand Slam and created history by leaving behind Steffi Graf’s haul of 22. The Australian Open 2017 was one of the most special slams for multiple reasons.

One, Serena secured the highest number of slams in the open era. Two, she was in phenomenal form and lost zero sets in her seven matches in the AO 2017. Three, she could beat her elder sister Venus Williams in straight sets in the finals. Most importantly, four, the 35-year-old was over-a-month pregnant with Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. when she lifted that coveted trophy.
