She knew the pain and wanted to escape it this time. Here’s what Serena said in an interview with Vogue in 2017. “I’m nervous about childbirth…I’m not a spring chicken. The one thing I really want is an epidural, which I know a lot of people are against, but I’ve had surgeries galore, and I don’t need to experience any more pain if I can avoid it.”
Further, the American discussed her concern about not being a baby person. Having given utmost importance to her own health, it was a big responsibility to bring a new life into the world. “The biggest thing is that I don’t really think I’m a baby person. Not yet. That’s something I have to work on,” Serena added.
As a new mother, it is obvious to have such feelings. However, as we have seen in the last five years, Serena and Alexis proved out to be great parents.
