Serena Williams talked about taking financial decisions on her own

Then she mentioned living in a small house in Compton with her four other sisters. However, her parents never let them feel like they were having financial trouble, as they always stayed happy. I never ever, ever felt broke. Looking back, I’m like, ‘Wow.’ We lived in a two-bedroom house with seven people. I don’t know how my parents were able to make me feel that way, but they did, and it was special,” Serena added.

“So I never felt when I came into money that I needed to go buy this because I never wanted anything. So it was a great way,” she further added. It is worth noting that Serena’s father helped their daughters to turn pro. After that, he became more of a businessperson, as he managed both of his daughters’ contracts. Moreover, he guided them to take care of their own financial decisions.

Venus and Serena’s business prowess

Apart from being successful tennis players, both Venus and Serena became pretty successful in the business world as well. Venus has always been a fashion icon, as her clothing brand, EleVen has been making waves since its launch.
