Coco Gauff has been showing us her skills in the sport for a while now. While she is one of the best players on the tour right now, Gauff has also faced situations where she has not been able to play her best. However, she always ends up returning to her usual form. We saw it recently in her opening-round clash in the Indian Wells Masters, where she sealed a great comeback.

Rennae Stubbs has full confidence in Coco Gauff

In a recent episode of Racquet’s Rennae Stubbs Podcast, the 52-year-old Australian coach brought up Coco Gauff’s recent troubles. While admitting that her recent performances had fallen short, Stubbs was certain that she would perform better at home. Stubbs said, “And you know, getting her back into the US obviously, with Indian Wells and Miami, she’ll have tremendous support. So that really does help. And she does play great with support.

She said that due to the population in the Middle East being heavily focused on work, it was difficult for a player to have support until they reached the later stages of a championship. She further believed that Gauff performed much better with support and that the Sunshine Doubles would do wonders for her performance.

Stubbs was correct so far, as Gauff won her first-round clash with a resounding victory. Now, she will play against Lucia Bronzetti, hoping to claim another victory.
