Nicola Peltz married her longtime boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham back in April. The wedding was attended by the likes of Beckham’s godfather Marc Anthony and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. The wedding had two unexpected surprises in the form of tennis legends Serena and Venus Williams.

The Williams sisters were part of the grand celebrations. However, Peltz revealed that the invitations came despite not being close friends.

Peltz recalls inviting Serena and Venus

The 27-year model spoke about the list of names who were present at the lavish wedding ceremony. It took place on April 9 at her parents’ home in Florida. Peltz even revealed that her mom Claudia was responsible for calling the Williams for the ceremony. She says, “It’s so random.”

“She ran into Venus and Serena at a charity event and told me, ‘I’ve invited them if they want to come.’ It’s so incredible – those women are the most beautiful, successful icons ever,” she added. Peltz also revealed that close to 500 people were present for the grand ceremony back in April.

Serena is now making her return to Wimbledon next week, while Venus has been struggling with a long-term injury.

Serena Williams made her long-awaited return at the Eastbourne International partnering with Ons Jabeur. After winning their first two matches, the pair withdrew after Jabeur suffered an injury a week before Wimbledon gets underway.

However, now Serena will move to London where she suffered a gruesome injury last year. After a lengthy spell out on the sidelines, the 40-year-old showed glimpses of her dominant serve and shots from the past.
