In only a few days, Venus Williams will turn 43. However, age is no bar for Venus when it comes to tennis. The legendary figure, who has amassed 7 singles Grand Slam crowns, continues to play at the top level of professional tennis. Of course, her best days are well behind her, but the fact that she is still an active pro reflects her passion for the sport. In the buildup to the 2023 Australian Open, the veteran sustained a hamstring injury, which forced her to spend several months on the sidelines. However, last month, Venus announced that she would mark her return to action at the Libema Open in the Netherlands. Now, Venus’ return is finally upon us. What’s more? Her biggest fan has also made it a point to travel to the Netherlands to watch her in action. Turns out that fan is none other than her sister Serena Williams.
Venus took to the Libema Open court to rapturous applause from those in attendance. Among those applauding her was her sister Serena. Once again, it reflected the incredible level of love and support the two sisters have for each other. After all, last year, Venus turned up to see Serena in what turned out to be her final match as a professional tennis player.

Venus’ comeback came against Celine Naef, a 17-year-old up and coming youngster from Switzerland. As a result, all eyes were on Venus to perform. Serena’s eyes too were firmly fixed on the glorious grass on the Libema Open court, as she hoped for her sister’s comeback to be a winning one.

What’s more? Serena wasn’t the only family member in attendance to catch Venus in action. Venus and Serena’s sister, Isha Price, was also present, and so was their nephew. Quite clearly, when it comes to familial support in tennis, no one does it better than the Williams.
