Although she has struggled for form this year, she is not only aiming to repeat her last year’s feat at Roland Garros, but is giving her all to go beyond. The young American sensation aims to come back to her previous year’s form that saw her go deep in various events. Her current stint at Roland Garros is reminiscent of the talent tennis fans saw in Gauff in 2022.

She eased past her opponents in the first two rounds and faced another young sensation, Mirra Andreeva, in the third round. Andreeva won the first set after a tough struggle. But the Georgia native showed why she is considered a sensation as she came back with gusto and won the match. Although she lost the first set, Gauff won sets two and three with only two games lost. The final score was 6-7, 6-1, 6-1.
