The two Williams sisters are often attendees are several fashion events. Often, Serena & Venus Williams get the plaudits for being quite well-versed in fashion. Although, the 43-year-old Venus has turned many heads with her black attire at the LV summer show, that perhaps makes her a bigger fashionista. She certainly has several levels of connections with the fashion industry that led her to attend the Paris Fashion Week.

Concluded on October 3rd, this edition of the Paris Fashion Week began on September 25th. New York, Paris, London, and Milan form the celebrated quartet known as the “Big 4” in the fashion world. What sets Paris apart, however, is quite fascinating. Paris is the birthplace of the industry’s very first organized fashion week. Venus’ presence was no surprise as she is quite inclined towards fashion. For those who are not aware, the $95 million worth Williams is the proud owner of the popular fashion brand EleVen.

The 7-time Grand Slam winner has always been affluent in the world of fashion. She lived up to her reputation by simply attending the Louis Vuitton Summer Show. Williams looked extra stunning with her velvety black blazer with a white touch-up. She paired the whole outfit with her white shoes with hints of black.

Venus flaunted her black top with a net around the neckline under her staggering jacket. To her credit, Venus knows the fashion industry through an academic aspect as well. Many don’t know this, but she graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Williams took a degree in fashion design.

The 43-year-old tends to attend most of these fashion events all around the world. However, there is something peculiar about Paris. In respect to her tennis career, Venus has been to France many times.

Paris is a beautiful city nonetheless. So, it’s naturally a good trip for not just Venus but anyone. Beyond the tourism aspect of France, Venus lands pretty often for her matches in the country. She even played against Serena Williams for the first time in 2002 at the French Open.

Her appearance at the fashion week might be an indication of something else as well. Venus runs a fashion brand, so her being at the event means good publicity for EleVen By Venus. However, she didn’t blatantly promote her brand in any way.
