In the same way, in the tennis world, Sloane Stephens is helping a young American, Ashlyn Krueger, find her way into the sporting arena as a senior, someone who knows the sport better than her. Recently, the 31-year-old revealed the reason why she is teaming up with young Americans including Krueger.

While there is a strong backing behind such a huge decision, both of them have come to be one of the strongest rising American duos after doing great this year in the doubles arena. Let’s take a look at what Stephens’ thoughts are on partnering with her juniors.

Recently, in an interview with Tennis Channel, the former third-ranked tennis player opened up about the reason behind why she chose to play doubles with a 19-year-old tennis player at the Charleston Open. She stated, “I love playing with the younger girls. I feel like when I was coming up like no older people played with me. So, I’m always like do you want to play?”

Along with that, she clearly highlighted that she wanted to be someone that young tennis players can look up to whenever they are stuck in a situation, or just someone who has their back. But at the same time, she also dwelled on the reason behind standing up for them as she didn’t have people to look out for her when she was young.

Further, Stephens added, “I’ll play with you, I just no pressure just to go out there and just play and have a good time Ashley and I played in Brisbane this year and we made quarters of a 500 and she was like so excited, I was so excited. I was like this isn’t amazing like it’s great right and then we played again at Indian Wells we played in Miami, and last week we made the quarterfinals we lost to a really good team.”

However, both of them not only had a great time together on the double court as a team but also did amazing on the achievement front together. Subsequently, now that she will be seen playing at the Charleston Open, she opened up about some of her favorite things that she would like to do during the tournament.
