The legendary status of Serena Williams will remain forever in the history books of tennis. From the early stages of their career, the Williams sisters became superstars both on the tennis court and outside of it.

After making their professional debut in the mid-90s, they immediately gained immense popularity on the tour, particularly the younger Williams sister, Serena. In an interview, she once talked about embracing the spotlight at a young age.

In an interview in 2003, Serena Williams showed extreme confidence while she talked about her celebrity status. “I like that stuff. How many 21-year-olds are making the living I’m making, getting to do the things I do? I don’t look at it as ‘I’ve blown up,’ so to speak. It’s just that I’m not afraid to be in the public eye. That’s just me,” Serena Williams said.

Notably, Serena appeared in many movies and music videos over the years. Recently, the movie ‘King Richard’ garnered rave reviews, along with six Oscar nominations. Incidentally, Serena was the executive producer of that movie.

Apart from that, she signed a lucrative deal with Nike in 2003, and the partnership is still continuing. Recently, she received a great honor from Nike by unveiling her own building in Beaverton, Oregon.

Serena’s various business ventures

Along with doing wonders on the tennis court, Serena also achieved many things off the court as well. Her clothing brand, S by Serena, has become one of the leading clothing brands in America. Recently, she showed some interest in various cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin. Apart from that, her venture capital firm Serena Ventures raised around $111 million to help various business owners with funding.

Meanwhile, Serena is currently spending some quality time with her family in London after her disappointing exit from the Wimbledon Championships. In the first round, she lost to Harmony Tan, which means her dream of reaching the 24th Grand Slam title is still on hold. Now, she will focus on the US Open, her home Grand Slam, where she won her first Grand Slam title in 1999.
