Serena Williams about becoming a mother
Williams, while in an interview with Vogue in 2018, shared her feelings about being a mother. She said, “We’re not spending a day apart until she’s eighteen.”
“Now that I’m 36 and I look at my baby, I remember that this was also one of my goals when I was little, before tennis took over, when I was still kind of a normal girl who played with dolls.”

Thereafter, reminiscing about her childhood, she added, “Oh, my God, I loved my dolls.” Williams has now retired from professional tennis. She bid farewell to her 27-year-long career on 3rd September at Flushing Meadows.

The former world no.1, with her husband and five-year-old by her side, stepped into the second phase of her life. She will now focus on furthering her reach in the business world. As Williams doesn’t have to follow the hectic schedule of tennis anymore, she has plenty of time to spend with her little one.
Williams and Olympia’s fun game
The seven time Wimbledon champion recently shared a heartwarming clip of her and Olympia on her Instagram story. The mother-daughter duo indulged in a classic game of bubblegum-bubblegum and added an interesting twist to it.

Olympia switched the lyrics to princess- princess with dresses demanded at the end. The song went Princess Princess in a dish. How many dresses do you wish? Williams was pretty impressed with the alteration and played along.

Further, the 41-year-old earlier shared a clip of her training with Olympia. While she was recovering from a leg injury, Williams taught her daughter how to execute a perfect forehand. Now that the 23-time Grand Slam champion has retired from professional tennis, she will have plenty of time to refine her daughter’s tennis skills.
