She explained, “I remember I was in a camp as a kid, and you played tennis in the morning, and then you would have golf in the afternoon. It’s been fun learning something new.” She likes being physically active as she is someone who needs mental stimulation often.

Danielle Collins opens up on the need to be active

Since a lot of places Collins travels do not have surfing, golf helps her fill the void that is left by the water sport. She needs something to keep her occupied physically, as she feels it keeps her sharp. “I feel like for me I’m someone that needs a lot of mental stimulation. By learning new things, I feel like it keeps my brain sharp, keeps me thinking about different things, keeps me from focusing on tennis too much.”
