The Reddit co-founder and the husband of Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian, has been really active on his social media, promoting his club, Angel City FC. After the Los Angeles-based club pulled some great numbers during the pre-season games, Ohanian took a dig at the haters for not believing in the club.
On Friday, the club made its debut in the NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League) and won its very first match. Incidentally, Ohanian was also there in the stadium to witness his team’s first win of the season. However, in the middle of the match, a funny thing happened, and he later shared it on his social media. 

Alexis Ohanian gets his hands on the match ball 

Before the start of the NWSL game between Angel City and North Carolina, Ohanian interacted with many fans in the fan fest. Later, he joined many other supporters and part owners in the stadium to enjoy the match. 

As Angel City was winning the game by 2-0, a ball found Ohanian, who was sitting pitchside. At first, he fumbled the ball, but eventually held on to the ball and gave it back to one of the players. Later, he tweeted the video and in the caption, he wrote, “Thankfully I’d only had a few beers at this point… LFG @weareangelcity 2-0.”

He also posted the same video on his Instagram story and wrote, “@weareangelcity be a part of this match.”

Overall, this was a happy night for all the players, fans, and owners. Their team, Angel City FC, beat the North Carolina team by 2-1. After the match, Ohanian looked extremely happy with the result as he shared a few more pictures and videos on Twitter. Also, it was a sold-out crowd, with 22,000 people turning up to watch the first game of the season. 

Serena Williams and Olympia congratulate Alexis 

While Alexis was attending the Angel City game, Serena and Olympia went on a date. After a lovely dinner, the 23-time Grand Slam winner had to run on a treadmill to burn off some calories. Then, they both congratulated Alexis on Angel City’s first win of the season.

Notably, Alexis is the leading investor of that soccer club. Even Serena and Olympia also became part owners of the Los Angeles-based soccer club. Meanwhile, Serena is working pretty hard for her comeback to tennis, at Wimbledon this year.
