American tennis legend Venus Williams is away from the court for a long time. The 42-year-old last played in the US Open where she lost her both singles and doubles first-round matches. While the seven-time Grand Slam champion plans to make a return next year, she is quite active on social media. Recently, Venus posted a video on her YouTube channel. Here, Venus discussed a variety of things with her coach Eric Hechtman. The duo also discussed the places Venus would love to visit. In the process, Venus revealed one such place she missed and can’t wait to get back to.

Venus Williams regrets missing out on visiting France

As a tennis player, an important part of Venus’ life is traveling. While the sport takes her to different places, the 42-year-old has a special liking for a few specific places. Speaking about the same, the former world number one revealed she was about to go to France but because of some reasons she had to drop the plan. She said, “I had a trip that didn’t work out, I guess. I went to Miami instead. But I am dying to get back to France, which I don’t know if Paris is your favorite.”

However, the 42-year-old has a specific reason because of why she can’t travel there now.
“I don’t want to go right now because I am on this elimination diet. I am used to deprivation though, so it’s like nothing different for me. It’s like okay, just fewer food items, but I am always eating a vegetable here so,” she added.

Venus Williams is due to return on the tour next year. It will be interesting to see if she can fulfill her desire to visit France in the French Open next year.

Venus admits to working hard after the US Open exit

While it was a treat for Serena Williams‘ fans at the US Open, Venus fans would like to forget the tournament. Venus lost both her doubles and singles first-round matches at the US Open. While many were expecting her to retire quietly, the 42-year-old hasn’t given up yet.

In a recent video, the former world number one revealed she has been working hard on her tennis form the very next day she crashed out of the US Open.
