Former World No. 2 Ons Jabeur’s journey as a tennis pro has been far from easy. Born and brought up in Tunisia, she did not have access to as many resources as many other players on the tour. But she continued to work hard and try her best to win a grand slam. However, it was not to be.

A prominent film producer wanted to record Jabeur’s journey on how she struggled to find her place in the WTA rankings and be among the topmost players in the world and the film is now in post-production. Jabeur recently posted about it on her official X handle and her fans are very excited.

The film about Ons Jabeur to be broadcast soon as she shares it on social media

A trailer of the film is out and has been posted on various social media platforms over the internet. Ons Jabeur herself reposted the teaser on her Twitter account. Along with that she also wrote, “This is Me. Coming soon on Tod.” The movie is about her journey overall but it also focuses on her missing out on winning the Wimbledon trophy twice in a row despite trying very hard.

In the trailer, she mentions how winning Wimbledon was more than just a trophy and how after not winning it, she was destroyed. Jabeur says, “It was the toughest loss of my career as it emotionally destroyed me. It was the tournament that I said okay I am gonna win and then I can take a break and have a baby. So not only not winning Wimbledon but the idea of having a baby also vanished with the trophy of the tournament. I was haunted by fear by panic attack. After all I am just a human being. It’s a hell of a story.

She further added that people want the movie to have a happy ending but the director has a different take on it and it might not be what people are expecting it to be. The movie release will certainly be an interesting chapter in her life as a tennis pro. As of recent on-court exploits, Jabeur missed out on winning the Riyadh Season Tennis Cup after losing to Aryna Sabalenka.

Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka, who is currently ranked No. 2, won the Riyadh Season Cup for Women’s Tennis against Ons Jabeur. Sabalenka won the 3-set match 2-1. The match was held at the Kingdom arena.

Sabalenka and Jabeur have played against each other a total of 5 times, and Sabalenka has prevailed in 4. Besides these two, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz were also supposed to play for the Riyadh SeasonCup,  and Alcaraz defeated Djokovic in that match.
