Garbine Muguruza reacted to a fan question

After winning the WTA Finals at the end of 2021, the Spaniard hoped for a better start this year. However, things didn’t quite go according to her plan. Currently, the Spanish star is in Miami to play the Miami Open. During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, a fan said to her, “I’m tired to watching you lose, wake up Muguruza..”

“Ouch,” that was her initial reaction after reading the comment from an anonymous fan. Clearly, she didn’t like the comment about her current form that much. However, she gave a classy reply to the fan.

The former world no.1, Muguruza, ended 2021 in great fashion, as she beat Anett Kontaveit in the WTA Finals. Previously, the Spaniard won the French Open and Wimbledon in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Many hoped to see the previous Muguruza back in 2022 after the WTA Finals. However, it has been a disappointing season for her so far.

At the Australian Open, she lost in the second round to Alize Cornet. Although she reached the quarter-final at the Dubai Open, her performance was not up to the mark. At Indian Wells, she suffered a shocking loss to Alison Riske in her first match, as she lost the match by 6-0,3-6,1-6.
