Recently, she came up with a new video on her YouTube channel. In the video, we can see Venus interacting with her coach about various stuff related to tennis, her career, life, etc. In one instance, she narrated a hilarious story about how fast she used to be as a kid.

Venus Williams has given up running now. The 42-year-old, however, remembers she used to be quick as a kid. The former world number one narrated an incident from the time when she was only 10 years old.

She said, “I was crazy fast. Like I would just outrun adults. I remember we used to practice at Compton College and there was this guy who was known as a can’t runner and my dad’s like we’re on the course he’s like, go catch that guy and I outran him and he got so mad, he said to my dad, don’t send that girl after me again.”

Venus Williams last played a competitive tennis match at the US Open 2022. The 42-year-old could not win a single match this year. However, she still has no plans for retirement and is willing to return next year to the tour.

Venus spends quality time with her niece Olympia
Venus Williams recently went on a family trip to Mexico with her sister, Serena Williams, and her family. The sister duo was there to attend the marriage of their niece, Justus Bobbit. On the trip, Venus was happily performing her aunt duties. The 42-year-old also shared some cute pictures with Serena and Alexis Ohanian’s daughter Olympia. In the Instagram post, she also called herself the “Number one aunt.” Venus also updated a story with Olympia, saying she looks similar to her.
Serena and Venus featured in the US Open 2022 doubles for one last time. It was a treat for the fans as the younger Williams sister was retiring after the tournament. However, to the disappointment of fans, the duo crashed out after suffering a defeat in the first match.
