In addition, just like any other devoted fan of the recent US Open champion, a fan was not happy with the sudden downfall. “Gauff lose this first set ima be so pi**ed,” he added.

Fans were not able to believe how there were a lot of chances for the American teenage sensation to win the match with ease, but things changed in the blink of an eye. A fan wrote, “Coco gauff bi**h ass was just up 4-0 now it’s 4-4… come on bro.” 

While another one could not believe his eyes, as this happened against the 28-year-old Russian tennis player. “Gauff *4-0 40/15 to *4-4 against Alexandrova.” 

Apart from this, few fans took this situation in a lighthearted manner. “Coco, why the choke likeeeee,” a fan wrote.

Nevertheless, even after creating such a panicky situation, the match ended in favor of the reigning US Open champ.

Despite a concerning drop in form, Gauff came back stronger 

Just after going down 3-4 in the first set, Gauff didn’t let anyone take away her victory. She came back stronger and regrouped herself at the right time to win the first set. After enduring a tough start, the third-ranked tennis player won the first set with a 7-5 lead.
