The American tennis sensation wound up her year with a remarkable victory at the WTA Finals in Riyadh. While her year did not unfold quite spectacularly in the beginning with Gauff winning the only title at the ASB Classic, she ensured to make a comeback and wrapped her year with a triumph in the China Open and then in Riyadh. Now, her mother is beaming with pride as she shares a heartfelt message for her daughter. 

Taking to her Instagram story, Candi Gauff shared a post by Head tennis, that detailed Gauff’s feats of the year. It included achievements like Gauff becoming the youngest WTA Finalists since 2004, the first American to win the WTA Finals since 2014, her whopping prize money of $4.8 Million in Riyadh, thereby becoming the largest prize winner on the WTA circuit, and becoming the youngest player to win Grand Slam titles in both singles and doubles category since 2005. Captioning the post, her mother shared a three-word reaction and wrote, “@cocogauff standing on business! ❤️” expressing her immense pride. Interestingly, this is not the first time when Gauff’s mother is expressing her pride over her daughter’s achievements. 

Soon after Coco Gauff emerged victorious in the China Open, she posted some pictures on Instagram of her unforgettable momentswith the trophy. Her mother was among the first set of people to express love and admiration for her and wrote, “Amazing fight!!!! Never say die!!!” And it is probably for this reason that the American star often highlights her strong bond with her mother, reciprocating a similar love.

When quizzed about her bond with her parents at the Wuhan Open, Gauff made an honest confession. “Yeah, I mean, both my parents are constant support all the time,” she said. However, she highlighted that her bond with her mother is even stronger. “My mom, it’s just a motherly thing. There’s nothing like a mother-daughter relationship. Especially in swings like Asia where it maybe is more isolated than usual, we just play Uno lot,” she added. Continuing further, Gauff made yet another interesting revelation and said, “We actually didn’t argue. Yesterday I think was the first time we argued a little bit because we spend too much time with each other. It wasn’t an argument, but we just get annoyed.”
