Recently, as the Grand Slam champion was in Berlin, in a conversation, she talked about the major problem because of which players are backing out of the Olympics. Gauff stated, “The Olympics was always I yes for me, if I qualified. But I understand the reasoning of other players. Will be interesting if I can adjust from clay, grass, hard in a short space of time.”

However, Gauff hasalso  stated that she isn’t very worried about the heat during the Olympics in Paris. The young tennis player is concentrated on getting ready for the tournament and thinks she can manage the heat. Subsequently, nearly a month ago, the world number two ranked tennis player opened up about making a debut in the Olympics this year.

She stated, “For me, the Olympics is a top priority. I would say equal to the Grand Slams. I wouldn’t put it above or below just because I’ve never played before. This is my first time. Obviously, I always want to do well, try to get a medal. Yeah, I mean, but the prep is going to be interesting because I’ve never done the grass-to-clay transition before.”

Olympic gold is one of Gauff’s “biggest dreams,” as she has said. On the other hand, she has also hinted that she would play fewer doubles matches with Jessica Pegula after the Olympics, as she looks forward to Paris 2024. However, Sabalenka, who is enjoying a good season, has made a choice of skipping the big event of the year, and so has Ons Jabeur.

Sabalenka, is forgoing the Olympics in Paris in order to “take care of my health” and be ready for the hardcourt competitions. She stated, “Especially with all the struggles I’ve been struggling with the last months, I feel I have to take care of my health. It’s too much for the scheduling and I made the decision to take care of my health.”

The tenth-ranked player in the world from Tunisia has declared her withdrawal from the Paris Olympics due to concerns about her body’s ability to adjust to the clay surface of the competition. With a strong quarterfinal showing at the French Open, where the Olympic tennis competition is slated to start next month, Jabeur just wrapped up her clay-court season.
