The 22-year-old beat the Russian tennis player, Liudmila Samsonova, 6-2 6-2 at the China Open finals on Sunday. The match lasted for almost one hour and nine minutes. It turned out to be a dominating performance from the second-best in the world. She regarded this win as a “really big” victory as she was coming off a slump in form during the American hard court season.

Swiatek’s pin point serve turned out to be her biggest asset in the match. She used her experience and took advantage of the slower conditions. She even went on to make zero unforced errors in the opening set of the match, which is quite remarkable. It didn’t take long for the 24-year-old Russian to succumb to this enormous pressure from the best on the court.
