She shared her strong views on why she felt Swift is in the wrong.

In 2016, Taylor Swift raised an issue when she made it clear that she did not know how Kanye West was going to use her name in his song. The song had become a point of contention later on when it was released.

Eugenie Bouchard chose Kanye West over Taylor Swift

The feud between Ye and Swift brought out a lot of controversies. Their fans had extremely divergent views and not just that, the issue caught a lot of attention as various entities expressed their views regarding the matter. One such entity at that point was, Eugenie Bouchard. She had just come after her unfortunate loss in the first round of the Citi Open. The reporter asked which team did she belong to- Kanye West or Taylor Swift? She replied, “Ah, this is probably like the hardest question all day.”

However, she went on to give her point of view and said, “I mean I love Taylor Swift but sometimes I feel like she portrays herself as a victim a lot and she did this time around.” Furthermore, she stated, “You know she said that she wasn’t aware of that specific line, like that B**CH. But she heard the other line about having s*x.”

This was problematic for the Canadian player who said, “I was like really, what’s the huge difference? You know what I mean!”

Can Bouchard rise to the top again?

The Canadian tennis player became the talk of the town when she reached the finals of Wimbledon in 2014. However, she was defeated by the reigning champion Petra Kvitova. Apart from that, for the past year, Bouchard took a sabbatical from the court following her serious shoulder surgery.

Making her comeback at the end of the season in 2022, Bouchard performed her best at the Chennai Open where she reached the quarter-finals in the singles category and semi-finals in the doubles. The Canadian tennis star is getting her grit back, but we will have to wait to see if she can get her old form back.
