She stated, “Powerful read…” She shared Sharron Davies’ tweet in which she took a quote from the interview, “I’ve always tried to do the right thing rather than the popular thing”.

The legendary rivalry of Evert-Navratilova

Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert share a long history of well-renowned rivalry which had also brought a lot of attention to the sport. The pair met each other for the first in 1973, when Evert defeated her opponent. Astoundingly, both the players have met each other on the court 80 times.

Navratilova has led it by the ratio of 43-37. Interestingly, both the players have attained 18 singles grand slam titles in their careers. They reigned over the women’s tennis during the 80s and the 90s. While Martina Navratilova gas won 59 grand slam titles across formats, Chris Evert has clinched 21 major titles.

Fromer player had wished well for her opponent when Chris Evert had made it public that she has 1C Ovarian cancer. The player rejoiced when she got to know that Evert has completed her last chemotherapy and is now recovering well.
