However, recent global tensions have caught the attention of the 27-year-old player. Svitolina has been deeply disturbed by the chaos in her country. She looked shaken in the clip where she revealed her concern on this issue.

Elina Svitolina is concerned with global matters
At present, she is not in Ukraine but is worried for her family, friends, and all the people living out there. The actions over the past few days have been stressful for the player.
Svitolina spoke on this and stated, “I’m shocked, still in this terrible nightmare. I’m praying every single minute about what’s happening to my family, friends, and all people in Ukraine and around the world. I getting so many messages and trying to keep in contact with them. I’m very safe as compared to them. I’m only thinking about them and for me, it’s very stressful as I can’t do anything for them.”

Coming to tennis, Elina has not had the best of starts this season. She began competing first at the Australian Open but came as far as the third round before going down to Azarenka. In the entire match, she managed to win only two games in the second set.
The dull form continued after the Australian Open too

Following that, she competed at the Dubai Tennis Championships. However, Her campaign ended after a second-round loss at the event. She was last seen in Qatar. But, she crashed out in the opening round.
Although, we are still in the early days of the season. There is plenty of time for Svitolina to change her fortunes around. We wish her all the best for the rest of the season. And hope the situation in her country returns to normalcy.
