Former coach of Serena Williams lashes out at the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes are an event that many in the world anticipate. While they are a prime-time event, mismanagement can take place, and those who waited for the event are left angered. Rennae Stubbs, Serena Williams’s last coach, loves watching the award show and tuned in for the event this year as well. However, she could not enjoy it due to one major factor and even said she could organize it better herself.

How about this @goldenglobes…rather than making the winners wrap their speeches, how about NOT having monologues from the people giving the trophies out! You would save 5 min every award!! Dear god i could produce this show better. Seriously.

Stubbs is someone who does not stay quiet when a situation annoys her. She also made sure to make broadcasters of a particular tournament aware of their mistake as they decided to air an ATP match in place of a high-stakes WTA match.

Rennae Stubbs bashes broadcasters

Casper Ruud faced Yoshihito Nishioka in round 2 of the Shanghai Masters, which aired on the primary stream of Tennis Channel. However, during the same time, Iga Swiatek faced Caroline Garcia in the quarterfinal of the China Open but didn’t air on the Channel. Stubbs was livid with the injustice and let the broadcasters get a piece of her mind.

Other users of ‘X’ also followed suit as they lambasted Tennis Channel for not showing a high-stakes WTA match and rather showing an initial round of an ATP tournament. Stubbs’ words reached far and wide, but since the tennis season ended, we haven’t seen if they had any major impact. We are bound to see it soon.
