However, only a few know about Evert’s off-court struggles and hardships. The 18-time singles Grand Slam champion has previously revealed her feelings about her failed marriages. Evert was previously involved in a number of romantic relationships with notable figures.
The tennis legend was also married to the former golfer, Greg Norman. However, after a short period of their marriage, the couple got divorced as things didn’t work between them. Later on, Evert once opened up about how she was swept off her feet after their divorce.

Chris Evert once expressed her feelings after her divorce
After her divorce from Greg Norman, the American tennis legend was once featured in an interview where she talked about her tennis journey and her past relationships. Meanwhile, Chris Evert also talked about her idea on the spiritual cycle of karma. The 18-time singles Grand Slam champion said that she is a spiritual person. Evert further stated that she believes karma always catches up with people.
The former tennis star went on to talk about her past as she stated, “Five years ago, that’s when I went off the path a bit and pretty much broke up the family. That wasn’t me. My usual mindfulness didn’t kick in at all. I’ve always gone the straight road in everything.” Evert further talked about how she felt after her divorce from Norman.

She stated, “This man came and swept me off my feet and … there was guilt and sadness. It was a terrible feeling.” Additionally, Evert previously revealed the reason behind her divorce from the former golfer. The former US Open champion stated that they both had different priorities during their marriage. She was much more focused on her kids while Norman was involved in his business travels.

During the interview, the 18-time singles Grand Slam champion also talked about her idea of marriage. Evert stated that there are certain ups and downs involved in marriage. The former tennis player further expressed that she regretted her mistake of not nailing it right when she was getting divorced. Evert further said that she suppressed her marriage issues during her tennis journey.

As a result, she was so great on the court because she could “compartmentalize”. Evert further revealed that she learned an important lesson about marriage. She added that people should not wait to deal with their marriage issues and they should solve them right when they come. Prior to her marriage to Norman, the American tennis legend was also married to Andy Mill.
