Wimbledon started off with some nostalgia, pouring in with a grand tribute to Roger Federer. However, the outside courts of SW19 faced an issue because of the rains. This might have triggered players who prepared for the first round of the grass-court major. However, Sloane Stephens was not one of them. The 2017 US Open champion found an opportunity to take it easy with her beloved husband.

Stephens was going to play her first-round match against Rebecca Peterson. However, as the match got canceled, she made the best out of it.

Sloane Stephens makes the best of a drawback at Wimbledon

The SW19 main draw matches began yesterday. However, consistent rains initially delayed the scheduled match outside the center court. Eventually, they got canceled and are now will happen the next day.

Instead of being edgy about the delayed match, Stephens made the best of this opportunity. Posing adorably with her husband Jozy Altidore by keeping her head on his shoulder, she stated, “Rain delays”. However, the smiles on the couple’s faces said it all, as they enjoyed a quiet moment together.

Furthermore, she informed her fans about the delay. Sharing a picture of the waiting area, she stated, “Cancelled for today again.. Playing 1st match tomorrow at 11. Fingers crossed.”

Stephens has missed out on all of the grass-court tournaments after the French Open and is directly jumping into the grass-court major.

However, a player who has always kept her mental health priority before anything else is not worried about that.

Stephens on spending her alone time

This time her husband might have accompanied her in the quiet time. However, that is not the case every time, and she enjoys having some alone time.

In an interview last year with the WTA, she confessed how she practices deep breathing and meditation whenever she gets anxious. Otherwise, too, she enjoys her quiet time so that her mental health stays collected. As a matter of fact, Stephens’ mother is also a psychologist, so she has always practiced healthy personal space habits.
