American tennis legend Martina Navratilova recently reacted to the controversial comments made by reigning five-time world chess champion Magnus Carlsen. Recently, the Norwegian accused American chess grandmaster Hans Niemann of cheating.

The accusation came after Niemann defeated Carlsen this month in a major upset. The 65-year-old tennis legend also has an interest in the game and reacted to the news. Here’s what she said.

The accusation came up as a big shock for the chess world. It’s a first-of-its-kind cheating allegation. While it’s coming from one of the all-time greatest grandmasters, there’s still no proof of it. Tennis legend Martina Navratilova took to her Twitter account to share the post from Carlsen.

“This is a serious accusation and, if true, quite the scandal… yikes,” she wrote.

Earlier, the Norwegian lost to Niemann, this way ending his 53-game winning streak. Further, Carlsen withdrew from the competition even though there were six more rounds to follow.
