‘Ran Out of Lunch Money’ – Serena Williams Reminisced Big Sister Moment With Venus at School

Venus and Serena Williams have been highly successful in their careers over the last two decades. The sisters have won a combined 30 Grand Slam singles titles and 14 Grand Slam doubles titles as a team.
Now as they approach the final stages of their careers, the Williams sisters will surely look back at the resounding success achieved since their arrival into tennis. While Serena returns this week to Wimbledon, Venus is aiming to make one final comeback as she turned 42 this month.

Venus reveals cooking meals for Serena in their younger days
In an interview with Oprah back in 2003, the celebrity asked the youngsters about their cooking abilities while on Tour. Back then, Serena was a 21-year-old, following the footsteps of her elder sister Venus. Serena revealed that her elder sister would look out for her, cooking meals for the sisters after their training. She said, “Venus cooks more than I do because she still looks out for me.”

Serena made her return to the WTA Tour after a long absence. Her last competitive match came at last year’s Wimbledon suffering a leg injury in the first round. However, this time around she faces a tough battle as she makes her comeback to the big stage.

The 7-time Wimbledon champion will face French international Harmony Tan in the first round. Williams, now ranked 411 in the world is part of the singles draw after receiving a wildcard this year from the All-England Club.
